Design Day, June 6th, 2019

Design Driven Healthcare, an event hosted by the UCSF Clinical Innovation Center, celebrated the inaugural 10-week human-centered design course (EPI 243) with a poster session showcasing the students' work. We also invited participation from the broader UCSF design and design thinking community. Examples of human-centered design and design thinking were expressed in everything from the future of medical education to new care models to delightful patient experiences. The event included a panel discussion with participants from UCSF and ZSFGH that generated lots of stimulating Q&A around the value and rewards of practicing human-centered design in a healthcare context.
